Weekend Chic
Sweater / Ring / Necklace / Pants / Nail Polish / iPhone Case / Shoes
I started pulling together some items that have caught my eye the past few days while online browsing, and without even trying, I realized they all go together! I’m so in love with warmer colors for Fall. This reminds me of cooler weather, Dallas (since that’s where I’m from), lunch with girlfriends, afternoon cocktails, a walk in the park…so very classy and serene.
Enjoy your weekend!
Purseday Thursday: Clutch Love
It’s been brought to my attention by my friend Amber that I have a day of the week dedicated to pretty shoes, but not pretty bags. Which clearly is equally as important. And she brilliantly suggested Thursday to be that special day, because hello? Purseday Thursday. How perfect is that?
I decided my first set had to be clutches. They’re just too much fun. So many cute colors and variations. It’s so easy to find exactly the right one to match your outfit.

Shoesday Tuesday: Mixed Neutrals
One / Two / Three / Four / Five / Six
I looove to mix neutrals. Especially in the Fall (and it’s sooo close!). Give me a gray sweater, black tights, and brown boots any day. So why wouldn’t I love mixing the color palette on shoes?? And bags too for that matter…but it’s Shoesday. Focus… :)
PS. Number 2 is majorly reduced in price (there’s a coupon code on the page to reduce them more, but only through the end of today). So snatch those up quick! And number 4 & 5 need WILL be mine asap. Sooo in love!
Current Color Obsession: Lilac & Lavender
1. iPhone Case 2. Scarf 3. Kitten Heels 4. Essie Nail Polish 5. Earrings 6. Sweater 7. Shorts 8. Dress
I have always been (and always will be) obsessed with pastels. But for the past month, I’ve been especially gravitating toward pastel purples like lilacs and lavenders. And can you blame me?? Look at all the pretty purple goodness up there. I’m dying over that Lulu’s dress. I must make it mine asap. I did get the shorts though! They came in the mail Tuesday and are just as cute in person. Oh, and here’s the best part: they’re only $8! So if you like them, go grab you a pair before they’re gone!
Shoesday Tuesday: Lovely Loafers
Slightly Studded // Studded // Print // Sparkly // Pop Of Color // Go With Everything Neutral
I love me a pretty loafer. They’re polished, they’re preppy, and you can find them in a wide array of patterns and colors to fit your outfit. Most importantly though, they’re COMFY! They are also a shoe that you can wear while it’s still hot with your shorts and dresses, but will transition ever so perfectly to your Fall time wardrobe (which is right around the corner!). Is everyone else as excited as I am for Fall??
Weekend Snapshots…And A Colorful Cupcake How To
I got little bit of happy in the mail this weekend…
New H&M bubble gum pink pumps from 1 bestie…
You can find them here.
Speaking of H&M…have you heard they will have online shopping for U.S. on their site this Fall?!! To say I’m excited would be an understatement…
And I made a little bit of happy for my other’s bestie’s birthday…
Colorful Cupcakes
Here’s how I made them:
Nothing fancy for the batter. I just used a box of Pillsbury Funfetti cake mix (following the ingredients on the back). I then divided the batter evenly between 4 bowls and added neon gel food coloring. (Pink in one bowl, purple in the next, orange in the next, and teal in the last bowl) In my experience, I’ve found that gel food coloring works WAAAY better than normal food coloring! Once all the colors were mixed, I placed the liners in a cupcake tin, took an ice cream scoop and did a spoonful of pink, then a spoonful of purple. It should be about 2/3′s full. Then in another lined cupcake tin I did a spoonful of orange, and then a spoonful of teal. Baked at 350 for about 18 minutes.
While the cupcakes cooled, I put a healthy helping of frosting (Betty Crocker Fluffy White Frosting) in two different bowls. Added pink gel food color to one bowl, purple to the other. I put the bowls in the fridge for a few minutes to let it firm up a little that way it went on the cakes a little easier.
And then voila! This cake batter makes yummy cake all by itself, but I’m a firm believer that pretty bright colors makes EVERYTHING better.
Shoesday Tuesday: Summer Sandals (Under $40)
Last time I checked, it’s still very much summer time. There’s still plenty of time to enjoy pretty sandals! Here’s some of my favs….and with a cheap price tag to boot!

8 Reasons You Should Shop At Lulu’s Right Now
I’m baaack! It’s been a while since I’ve blogged due to vacation, moving, birthdays(including mine yay!), etc…it’s been a bit busy to say the least. But I’m back, and more fashion obsessed than ever.
So this week during my daily online browsing, I’ve been lusting over lulus.com items more than ever before. There’s always a few items I want badly from their store, but this week in particular, there’s just a bazillion pieces that I’m finding it hard to live without. At the moment, I’m all about little white dresses, bright colors, and neutral/neon combos, so these are my 8 reasons you should visit their store today. Happy shopping!

Wishlist Wednesday: Mother’s Day
I decided to do a different kind of Wishlist this week. Since Mother’s Day is this upcoming Sunday, and I just so happen to be a mommy, I was thinking of things I’d like around the home. The mixer is definitely a wish. They are so very expensive, but oh how they would make baking easier! However, the dishes are a definite need. I’ve been using the same dishes for over 10 years now, and replacements are way overdue. I love how simple and modern this Target set is. And I must talk about how fabulous this teacup stand from Etsy is! You could use it as a candy or food tray for parties, OR even for your jewelry or makeup on your vanity. Very multifunctional. Plus, I’m obsessed with teacups. So obviously it was love at first sight.

I hope all the mommies out there have a fabulous Mother’s Day this weekend!
Shoesday Tuesday: Heel-less
I don’t know just yet how I feel about these heel-less shoes, but I am intrigued by them. I love that they are totally unique, but I’m pretty sure if I tried to wear a pair, I’d fall flat on my face. Luckily, my bestie already bought a pair (the #2 Jeffrey Campbell’s below to be exact), so I’ll be able to borrow and test them out before I commit to buy! She will be wearing them this weekend, so pictures to come!
Jeffrey Campbell has a huge variety of this trend. I only chose two pair for this Shoesday, but there really are TONS of different styles and colors of heel-less shoes to choose from. However, they are on the pricier end, so I also included an alternative brand that’s a little less expensive.
