Pretty things found here.

Last time I checked, it’s still very much summer time.  There’s still plenty of time to enjoy pretty sandals! Here’s some of my favs….and with a cheap price tag to boot!

I’m baaack! It’s been a while since I’ve blogged due to vacation, moving, birthdays(including mine yay!), etc…it’s been a bit busy to say the least. But I’m back, and more fashion obsessed than ever.

So this week during my daily online browsing, I’ve been lusting over lulus.com items more than ever before. There’s always a few items I want badly from their store, but this week in particular, there’s just a bazillion pieces that I’m finding it hard to live without. At the moment, I’m all about little white dresses, bright colors, and neutral/neon combos, so these are my 8 reasons you should visit their store today. Happy shopping!

Shoesday Tuesday: The Cap Toe

Capped toe shoes may possibly be my favorite trend of the moment. I love contrast in color and texture on pretty much anything, but especially on a pair of shoes. Bright colors, neutrals, metals, studs, sequins. So many possibilities.

And what’s got me all kinds of excited is while hunting for the perfect pairs for my post, I discovered several DIY’s for this type of shoe. Now, I am definitely not someone you would call crafty, but all of these tutorials seem easy enough. Plus, who doesn’t want to save a few bucks and still have cute shoes? I can’t wait to try it out. I already have a ton of different color/texture combos swirling in my mind to create. I’ll make sure to post any that I attempt!

Here’s the links to the tutorials to check out. There’s one using acrylic paint, one using nail polish (yes, nail polish. LOVE!), and one I’m extremely smitten over: glitter capped toes. That will be the first one I try. Glitter anything is alright by me.

Shoesday Tuesday: Wedges

It’s crazy. I’ve never in my life been drawn to wedges. Whenever I see them, I usually don’t give them a second glance. However, after I discovered the Michael Kors nude wedges for last week’s Shoesday post, I all of the sudden became super drawn to them. I started seeking them out, and even bought a pair last Friday. So I had to do a Shoesday post on some of favorite pairs I’ve seen in the past few days.

Plus, they’re ususally more comfortable to walk in than a pair of heels, so you can have the height without the hurt. Bonus!

I’m seriously dying over those Dolce Vita’s(#1).

Easter Egg Nails

All the egg hunting and pretty colors I kept seeing everywhere this weekend had me inspired to do some Easter nails.

Essie Turquoise & Caicos, L’Oreal Pink Me Up, and Essie Play Date.

Free handed it and it took a few coats to get each color the bold stripe I wanted. But I’m happy with the way they turned out. Festive, yes?

Happy Easter!!

Shoesday Tuesday: A Shoe Rainbow

I’m obsessed with shoes. Like seriously could look at them, talk about them, search for them  all. day. So I figured they absolutely needed to be the subject of my posts once a week. And that still may not be enough.

This edition is all about color. Bright colors. Color blocking. Bring it. I love love love it. Never enough! I’m on the lookout right now for the perfect pair for my birthday…this summer. I know. It’s quite a ways away. And what’s worse – I’ve been thinking about this since January. Perfect proof! I’m obsessed. These are all gorgeous, but they aren’t THE PAIR. At least I’m not completely sure just yet…those Zara white/coral pumps might be the ones. Hmm… Until I decide I shall continue to search and drool.

I love them all! I think I absolutely need the sandals, and both pair of Zara pumps. No, I probably just need them all.

Pastels

Pastels have the prettiest names, don’t you think? Mint, apricot, lavender, seafoam, peach….I mean, right? I’m obsessed with pastel colors in general, so seeing them EVERYWHERE for Spring has got me all kinds of excited. And pairing them with another trend I love, color blocking, is almost too much for me to handle! I love color and mixing color. So mixing pastels, or “pastel blocking”, is perfect in my book. Who wouldn’t love a pastel rainbow? These photos have me super inspired.

I personally don’t think you can mix too many pastels at once, and these outfits more than prove it. They compliment each other so well! Here are some pieces I’ve been eyeing myself. ESPECIALLY that Zac Posen bag. I’m in love!

So this is my first official blog post and I am SO excited to have started this site! A lot of time and thought went in to it, and seeing it finally come to life is amazing. I love fashion, decor, good food, online shopping, pretty pictures and everything in between. So I’m super happy to have a place to share what I love and what inspires me with everyone. Until next time!
