February Love List

Yes, I am extremely late in my loves for this month. It’s been a bit hectic! However, it IS still February for a few more hours, so here is what I have been obsessing over this month. The weather might still be chilly, but it’s pretty much the last month of winter, so it’s really hard to not jump ahead to Spring time colors and patterns. Which, in my book, means bright, happy colors like yellows and hot pinks. I’m completely obsessed with hot pink lipstick right now! And also, floral. But not just any floral! Loud, bold floral prints.

Shoesday Tuesday: Current Must Haves

You can never have too many shoes. My husband may disagree with me on that, but it seems every time I find the perfect pair I’ve been neeeeding, another pair comes along and reminds me that I need them too.

One such shoe I’ve been on the hunt for is a pointy toe flat. But it had to be the perfect pointy toe with no extra embellishments on the shoe. So you can imagine how excited I was when I was browsing the new Prabal Gurung collection for Target and found these beautiful yellow flats. The color has be itching for Spring. I’m so ready to wear bright colors and floral everything again! These also come in black and a bright striped print AND they’re extremely inexpensive. Don’t wake me if I’m dreaming!

I stumbled across these black and white heels this weekend while I was out shopping at Kohls, and with the black and white combo being so in right now (not to mention, their pointy toe, which as if it hasn’t become clear by now, I’m totally obsessed with at the moment) they are truly too perfect to pass up.

And finally, I was on Threadsense today looking through their Back In Stock section, and I was so excited to see these ankle boots were back. I was kicking myself for not buying them the first time I saw them. That light brown color is perfection.

Happy December! Admist the shopping, and wrapping, and cooking, and driving over this holiday season, don’t forget about the parties you ultimately need to be decked to the nines for! There’s never a better time to sparkle and shine than Christmas and New Year’s! So I’m doing a whole week of the perfect pieces to add to your outfit. Starting with shoes. It is Shoesday Tuesday, afterall!

I started pulling together some items that have caught my eye the past few days while online browsing, and without even trying, I realized they all go together! I’m so in love with warmer colors for Fall. This reminds me of cooler weather, Dallas (since that’s where I’m from), lunch with girlfriends, afternoon cocktails, a walk in the park…so very classy and serene.

Enjoy your weekend!

Shoesday Tuesday: Lovely Loafers

Slightly Studded // Studded // Print  // Sparkly // Pop Of Color // Go With Everything Neutral

I love me a pretty loafer. They’re polished, they’re preppy, and you can find them in a wide array of patterns and colors to fit your outfit. Most importantly though, they’re COMFY! They are also a shoe that you can wear while it’s still hot with your shorts and dresses, but will transition ever so perfectly to your Fall time wardrobe (which is right around the corner!). Is everyone else as excited as I am for Fall??

I’m baaack! It’s been a while since I’ve blogged due to vacation, moving, birthdays(including mine yay!), etc…it’s been a bit busy to say the least. But I’m back, and more fashion obsessed than ever.

So this week during my daily online browsing, I’ve been lusting over lulus.com items more than ever before. There’s always a few items I want badly from their store, but this week in particular, there’s just a bazillion pieces that I’m finding it hard to live without. At the moment, I’m all about little white dresses, bright colors, and neutral/neon combos, so these are my 8 reasons you should visit their store today. Happy shopping!

Shoesday Tuesday: Heel-less

I don’t know just yet how I feel about these heel-less shoes, but I am intrigued by them. I love that they are totally unique, but I’m pretty sure if I tried to wear a pair, I’d fall flat on my face. Luckily, my bestie already bought a pair (the #2 Jeffrey Campbell’s below to be exact), so I’ll be able to borrow and test them out before I commit to buy! She will be wearing them this weekend, so pictures to come!

Jeffrey Campbell has a huge variety of this trend. I only chose two pair for this Shoesday, but there really are TONS of different styles and colors of heel-less shoes to choose from. However, they are on the pricier end, so I also included an alternative brand that’s a little less expensive.

3. Privileged Dexter  4. Privileged Keaton

Polka Dots & Ruffles

I’ve been wanting a pair of polka dot shorts for sometime now, and in my opinion, polka dots are just begging to be worn with ruffles! And it’s a great outfit to accessorize casually for day, and then dress up for a night out.

Day:  Satchel,  Earrings,  Cuff,  Flats

Ruffle Tank,  Polka Dot Shorts (cheaper version here)

Night:  Blazer,  Crossbody,  Earrings, Bracelet,  Pumps

Wishlist Wednesday: A Little Lace

I love lace. It’s dainty and pretty and makes me want to pull an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and sit down for tea and crumpets. A little can go a long way, and a lot could go too far. It’s easy to go from classy and elegant to trashy or looking like you’re dressed in your grandmother’s doily. Stick with one key piece – add that feminine touch to your casual or dressy outfit.

Can we talk about those Tobi flats? I can’t live without them. They must be mine! Gorgeous.

4. Romwe Skirt  5. Top Shop Tank  6. Lulus Clutch

Shoesday Tuesday: The Cap Toe

Capped toe shoes may possibly be my favorite trend of the moment. I love contrast in color and texture on pretty much anything, but especially on a pair of shoes. Bright colors, neutrals, metals, studs, sequins. So many possibilities.

1. Ann Taylor Flat  2. Vince Camuto Pump  3. ModCloth Wedge

4. Top Shop Pump  5. All Black Sequin Flats

6. Top Shop Flat  7. Pedder Red Slip On

And what’s got me all kinds of excited is while hunting for the perfect pairs for my post, I discovered several DIY’s for this type of shoe. Now, I am definitely not someone you would call crafty, but all of these tutorials seem easy enough. Plus, who doesn’t want to save a few bucks and still have cute shoes? I can’t wait to try it out. I already have a ton of different color/texture combos swirling in my mind to create. I’ll make sure to post any that I attempt!

Here’s the links to the tutorials to check out. There’s one using acrylic paint, one using nail polish (yes, nail polish. LOVE!), and one I’m extremely smitten over: glitter capped toes. That will be the first one I try. Glitter anything is alright by me.
